*Avogadro's law states that one mole of gases at the pressure of 1 atmosphere and temperature of 0°C occupies the same volume of 22.4 litres.

*It may also be said that equal volumes of gases at the same temperature and pressure contain equal amounts of molecules. But mass may vary depending upon molecular weight. Avogadro's law is very important in forming equation of state.
