BRAZING
*It is defined "joining of two metal pieces by using a filler metal" whose liquid temperature is above 450 °C. The filler metal is drawn into the joint by capilary action
*In brazing, the base metal of the work pieces to be joined is not melted but filler makes the joint in metal.
*Surface should be cleaned before brazing the metals.
*flux is added to the liquid metal.
APPLICATIONS
1. It is used in pipe fittings.
2. It is used in heat exchanger parts fabrication.
3. It is used to manufacture pressure vessels.
4. It is used in jewellery applications
