CONDUCTION

Heat transfer is the part of thermodynamics, it is the movement of heat from one thing to another by means of radiation, convection and conduction. All forms of heat transfer may occur in some systems at the same time.

FOURIER'S LAW OF HEAT CONDUCTION

"The rate of flow of heat through a simple homogeneous solid is directly proportional to the area of the section at right angles to the direction of the heat flow, and to change of temperature with respect to the length of the heat flow".

THERMAL CONDUCTIVITY

Thermal conductivity is a thermodynamic property of a material.

THERMAL DIFFUSIVITY

*Thermal diffusivity it is the ratio between heat conducted to heat capacity .

HEAT FLUX

Heat flux is the flow per unit area and per unit time of heat. It is directly proportional to the temperature gradient.
